COMEDY. This award-winning comedy offers endless opportunities to showcase physical humor! The first football game of the year is about to begin, so Hera, the head cheerleader, reminds her fellow cheerleaders, the Titan Goddesses, to uphold their place high upon a pedestal above the “lesser beings” as they cheer their team to victory. When Medusa, a new student who has snakes for hair, asks to join the cheerleading squad, Hera quickly escorts Medusa off the football field and advises her to join the Herpetology Club. The game begins, and the Acropolis High School Titans face off against the Apocalypse High School Zombies. At first, the Titans are unintimidated by the slow-moving, lumbering Zombie players, but when the Zombies begin to “tear” into the Titans, it’s clear they are out for blood and heads begin to roll! The game begins to look cataclysmic for the eviscerated Titans until Medusa appears on the sideline. Finalist, Marion Thauer Brown Audio Scriptwriting, 2020. Flexible cast with the option to perform as a radio play. Easy to stage.
