COMEDY. Rhonda is determined to see one of her daughters, Meredith or Zelda, win a beauty pageant. However, the camouflage-wearing Meredith would rather shoot her crossbow, and Zelda, a techno-geek, is too engrossed with videogames and computer hacking to care. And the rest of the family is no help at all when it comes to preparing the girls for pageants. Rhonda’s husband is addicted to collecting inflatable Christmas decorations, and her conspiracy-loving mother is too busy investigating why the town of Hurleyburg has mysteriously disappeared from the state highway map. To prepare Meredith for an upcoming pageant, Rhonda hires a 4-H swine show exhibitor turned pageant consultant whose motto is “We put lipstick on a sow’s ear!” And to top it off, the upcoming First-Annual Hurleyburg Volunteer Fire Department Cow Pie Bingo Contest and Beauty Pageant may be exactly the opportunity Rhonda has been looking for! Audiences will love this winning comedy with its down-home characters, conspiracy theories, and Hurleyburg hysterics!
