COMEDY. In this “biting” comedy, a lonely bachelor forces his dog, Achoo, to fly with him on airplanes and accompany him to the store. Humiliated that he has to wear a vest with “Therapy Dog” on it, Achoo quits his job posing as Jerome’s therapy dog. Sick of all the togetherness, Achoo tells Jerome he wants a new career and more me-time. But as the two discuss Achoo’s future plans, they start bickering and airing out their grievances. Jerome is sick of Achoo barking at squirrels during Zoom calls and refusing to put his dog toys away. Meanwhile, Achoo is tired of Dollar Store dog toys, watching re-runs on basic cable, and burning his feet on asphalt because Jerome is too cheap to buy him doggie Crocs. Jerome declares Achoo an agoraphobic hypochondriac, while Achoo diagnoses Jerome as suffering from separation anxiety. In the end, Jerome realizes he doesn’t need a therapy dog, and Achoo doesn’t need dog therapy. They need a therapist! Male and female versions. Easy to stage.
