At the Smith Family Horse Farm, the Smiths are still grieving the day poor, dear Billy-Jim-Bob-Toby-Tom-Lou Smith climbed onto the back of a wild stallion and was carried off into the wilderness never to be seen again. And they’ll always remember his last word, “Heeeeeeeeeeeelp!” After betting the farm in a card game and losing to the horse-hating villain, Jeffrey T. Devious, Mrs. Smith has until 6 p.m. to pay him, or he will take over the Smith Family Horse Farm and exact revenge on all of horse-kind! And to top it off, Devious has a cunning plan to wed Mrs. Smith’s daughter, Mary-Sue-Bonnie-Ann-Alice-Mae Smith, and whisk her away to his home on What-the-Sam Hill. “I’ll get you, my pretty…and your little horsies, too!” Who will save the day? Will a strapping, flannel-wearing stable hand formulate a “brilliant” plan to save the farm and wed Mary-Sue-Bonnie-Ann-Alice-Mae? Will a mysterious stranger, wearing a fake mustache, read a theater textbook and understand what a soliloquy is? Will a literate, grammatically correct horse finally reveal his gobsmacking secret? Or is this all just horsefeathers? Suitable for audiences of all ages. Easy to stage.
