COLLECTION/SPOOF. These three short plays spoof all-American classics including the children’s novel "Old Yeller," 1940’s film noir movies, and the 1960’s TV series "Star Trek." In “Doggone It,” a heartfelt novel about a boy and a stray dog has been cut to 20 minutes due to the short attention span of today’s youth. In “A Case of Indigestion,” a private investigator on the hunt for a femme fatale’s missing boyfriend ends up with two corpses, no dinner, and a stinky fish. In “The Prom Directive,” the U.S.S. Enterprising crew organizes a prom to bring peace to Auditoriumus, a planet resembling 1980s Earth inhabited by teen aliens.
